Patsy A. Tate

Patsy A. Tate, 80, of Bean Station, lost her courageous battle with cancer on December 6, 2025. She is preceded in death by her husband Marvin Tate and brother Estel Wolfe. Patsy was a teacher’s assistant for more than 40 years at Bean Station Elementary School and was loved by all of her students. She attended New Prospect Baptist Church, was active in the Bean Station Senior Citizens Center helping to provide food for the elderly, and also volunteered at the Baptist Association. She leaves a family who adored her, including her brother-in-law James E. Tate, brother Maurice Wolfe (Doris), nephews Joe Wolfe (Sharon Ann), Danny Wolfe (Tonya), Brian Wolfe (Raelyn) and Maurice Wolfe Jr., niece Carolyn Tate Williams (Glenn), and great nephews Walker, Ryan, Joseph, Hunter, Cody and Cory. Special thanks to Smoky Mountain Hospice. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 13, 2025, in Heath’s Chapel Cemetery in Bean Station with Rev. Lowell Welch officiating.
