Jimmy Ray Jeffers

Jimmy Ray Jeffers – Age 62, of Blaine, TN, went to his Heavenly home on October 21, 2025, surrounded by family after a lengthy battle with Parkinson’s Disease, Metastatic Prostate Cancer, Diabetes, Heart Disease, Strokes, and many other illnesses. He was a fighter and fought the good fight with grace and NEVER complained.

He was a devoted and loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.

He had a true servant’s heart and would do anything for anyone. In the 1990’s he was a Volunteer Fireman and First Responder for the City of Tazewell, where he earned several Commendations. He served two terms as a Blaine City Councilman in the early 2000’s. He managed the Blaine Police Department for a while during his term as Councilman.

He made his living be a Lithographer (film stripper) in the Printing Industry, first for Rhyne Printing of Norcross, GA, then of Tazewell, TN. He worked for Preston Printing in Knoxville and then Blue Ridge Printing of Knoxville. It was there he met his “BRIDE” Jackie.

After Blue Ridge Printing moved back to Asheville, NC he worked as a warehouse manager for Office Furniture Outfitters of Knoxville, TN.

Even after his diagnosis with Metastatic Prostate Cancer he held a part-time position at Food City Gas N Go on Broadway in Fountain City and then in Blaine. He never knew a stranger.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Claude Jeffers and Ellen Ruth Jeffers of Lake City and Clinton, TN; sister, JoAnne Clark and Pat Pryse of Clinton, TN; brothers, Danny Jeffers and James Jeffers of Clinton, TN; nephew, Gregory Reynolds; great-niece, Madlyn Rhyne; and great-nephew, Austin Robbins.

He is survived by his wife of 25 years, Jackie Jeffers; daughter, Katie Helton (Ryan); son, Dakota “Cody” Jeffers; sisters, Mary Reynolds (Roger) and Linda Jeffers; nephews, Todd Reynolds (Melissa), Josh Archer (Miranda), David Jeffers (Claudia) and Tre Rhyne; nieces, Lisa Clarke, Amber Price, Donajo Brooks (Jeremy), Holly Rhyne (Brandon), Victoria Jeffers; several great-nieces and nephews; dogs, Chip Eugene and Sassy Ann Louise; and grand-dog, Bentley Wayne.

The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM on Saturday, October 25, 2025 at Block Springs Baptist Church, 269 Emory Rd., Blaine, TN 37709. A Funeral Service will immediately follow at 6:00 PM.
