Georgia M. Stansberry Neilson, age 80 of Knoxville, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2025. She was a beloved mother and daughter, loved her Lord & Savior and her church & friends, working in the yard, going to the beach & spending time with her family.

She is preceded in death by her parents Dudley & Elsie Stansberry; brothers Allen, Jethro, Ed and Raymond Stansberry and sister Aileen Mulkey.

She is survived by daughter Tabitha Neilson, sister Nancy Stansberry, nieces Margo Hunley (Bobby) and Marla Miniard; great nephews Dustin Allen, Chase Hunley, great nieces Mandy Green & Savannah Miniard; great-great nieces & nephews Abi, Dylan, Landon, Alison, Colin, Christian, Layla & Atlas.

Family will receive friends in Knoxville on Thursday, December 4th, 2025, from 5:00-7:00pm at Gentry-Griffey Funeral Home in Fountain City. Family will receive friends in Rutledge on Friday, December 5th, 2025, from 12:00-2:00pm at Smith Reagan Funeral Home with funeral following at 2:00pm, and graveside service will follow the funeral service at Helton Springs Baptist Church Cemetery in Rutledge. Officiating Rev. Chad Ward.
